Medical Anthropology: Focus and applications from a biocultural perspective

The application of anthropological approaches in the field of health-disease, through the approaches of Medical Anthropology, show multiple actions and possibilities for research and intervention in health; both from its approaches with the emphasis on the sociocultural factors involved in the health / disease / care processes, as well as from the biocultural approaches to study the environmental conditions and quality of life in specific populations and communities, and their adaptations to the changing contexts. These contributions can contribute to improvements and adjustments, both in the promotion of health and Public Health programs, and in clinical practice.
